Yesterday I made my way to the first Park Acoustics concert of 2011 (which is held at the Botanical Gardens in Pretoria). Short Straw, Zinkplaat, Gang of Instrumentals and Mr Cat & The Jackal were part of the line-up. I’ve been living in Pretoria for 15 years and I had never made my way to the Botanical Gardens (very sad, I know). I enjoyed the mellowed-out atmosphere and the acoustic sounds on the day at the venue. I was truly impressed by Mr Cat & The Jackal on the day. They’re unique sound was definitely a highlight for me. I’m looking forward to seeing them perform again this coming weekend at Where BLUES Meets ROCK Festival (near Bronkhorstspruit).
