Great News! South African Pop-punk legends Crash Car Burn are making a rapid return to the airwaves with new material! The band released their third (and some say strongest) studio album to date entitled ‘Gravity’ on the 22nd of October 2012!
Garth Barnes (the frontman of Crash Car Burn) has described the album as “the most bipolar album we have ever done”. The album explores the hardest and the softest side of the band. Crash Car Burn have worked their way to the top independently over the years, but recently the band signed their first-ever major record deal with EMI Music. In case you forgot, Crash Car Burn has gained fame for their emotive anthems like “Heroes”, “Serenade”, “Twisted”, “Get Away” and “Long Live Tonight”.
Crash Car Burn is also excited about being part of a larger musical family. They have an amazing team backing them and they can’t wait to see where this new friendship will take them. With the release of Gravity, the group will also be releasing a 15 minute documentary short-film based on their career – an intimate offering for fans, which airs at the album launch at Nu Metro Montecasino in Johannesburg on the 6th of November 2012.
The first single from ‘Gravity’, entitled “Light”, has already been receiving airplay on all major pop, rock and adult contemporary radio stations across the country and sets the tone for their December tour which will be announced soon. Exceptionally polished live, the band has successfully toured internationally, as well as always being a firm favourite back home.
The scheduled Crash Car Burn Summer tour also promises to deliver only the best of what the band has to offer. Crash Car Burn have relentlessly pushed to stay on top of their game and ‘Gravity’ is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these young stars. I’m sure that many of their fans reading this will agree with me.
Great news for Crash Car Burn fans is that Running Wolf’s Rant is giving away 3 hampers consisting of an Azzaro Duo fragrance for him and her, as well as a copy of the brand new ‘Gravity’ album.
