On the 16th of June @BaasDeBeer and I made our way to the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens on the Eastern side of South Africa’s capital city for another Old Mutual Music in the Gardens show. Three acts were lined up for the day: Die Heuwels Fantasties, Van Coke Kartel and Newtown Knife Gang. It was a stunning day in Pretoria, not a cloud in the sky I tell you.
The first act to perform was Newtown Knife Gang. These Jozi based boys have been making waves in the SA Music industry over the last few years. They played an excellent set. I have come to expect nothing less than that from them since I saw their performance at RAMFest 2012 in Johannesburg in March this year. I snapped this photo of Newtown Knife Gang performing on the day at the Botanical Gardens and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 23rd of June 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring Jonathan Davis (Korn) on stage @ Southampton Guildhall in 2010 was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out.
