There are 17 days left before Oppikoppi Sweet Thing 2012 kicks off on the farm near Northam in the Limpopo Province. Most of you reading this are probably already amped up to the max for this year’s festival (just like me)
Over the years I’ve gotten lost a few times in the camping area and mark my words, its not a pleasant experience. On average this was for one to two hours, but there was one extreme time when I got lost for 6 hours on the farm. Being a veteran of 13 Oppikoppi festivals I know that this can be a huge pain in the arse and not something you want to repeat every year (even though its part of your festival experience).
Well, good news, the folks from Hilltop Live (the organizers of Oppikoppi) have posted a map for this year’s festival on the Oppikoppi Facebook page. You can check it out below:
There you go. I trust many of you will find this useful. FYI: According to the map, it looks like there will be three bars in the camping area this year and various trash drop off points. Quite impressive if you ask me.
There is so much to look forward to this year. If you want to get an idea of how much I’m looking forward to this festival, check out my post featuring 5 Reasons Why I am looking forward to Oppikoppi This Year. Warning: This might just get you extremely excited. You might also want to check out my post featuring Some Survival Tips For Oppikoppi (Sourced From Social Media).
Don’t forget to book your tickets to this festival early – tickets are bound to sell out (like they have in 2010 and2011). To get your ticket to South Africa‘s premier music festival, head on over to the Standard Bank youth portal for your discounted R600 tickets. They supplement each ticket for the fans and you DO NOT have to be a Standard Bank client to make use of this service. You can also obtain tickets on the Oppikoppi Festival Facebook page for R700 or for R750 from Ticketbreak.
