Muse 254x300 Muse UprisingUprising is the first single off the new Muse album called The Resistance. This single was released on the 7th of September 2009. The Resistance album is the 5th studio album released by the British alternative rock band and was released on the 14th of September 2009. This song is definately one of my favorite tunes of the year. The album promises to be one of the best of 2009 as well. Muse recorded the album in Northern Italy. I still want to kick myself in the nuts for not going to their performance in South Africa in 2006, but I’m sure that there’s a chance that they might visit my country one day again. Muse was formed in 1999 in Teignmouth, Devon, England and is comprised of Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard. To date Muse have sold more than 8 million records worldwide. That amount is bound to increase with sales of the new album. Over the years they’ve managed to win 2 BRIT Awards, 4 Kerrang! Awards, 1 Meteor Music Award, 1 MTV Asia Award, 5 MTV Europe Music Awards, 1 MTV U Woodie Award, 6 NME Awards and 5 Q Awards (truly impressive if you ask me). I’m sure that we’re bound to see a lot more music from this band in the future. They truly have become one of the most recognized British exports. Judging by pictures and videos I’ve seen I’d say that they’re probably one of the best live acts around.

This is the music video for Uprising followed by the lyrics:

The paranoia is in bloom, the PR
The transmissions will resume
They’ll try to push drugs
Keep us all dumbed down and hope that
We will never see the truth around

Another promise, another scene, another
A package not to keep us trapped in greed
With all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

Interchanging mind control
Come let the revolution take it’s toll if you could
Flick the switch and open your third eye, you’d see that
We should never be afraid to die

Rise up and take the power back, it’s time that
The fat cats had a heart attack, you know that
Their time is coming to an end
We have to unify and watch our flag ascend

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

Herika Noronha 1333813 363x480 Herika NoronhaHerika Noronha is from Brazil. She’s an up and coming model and has appeared in advertisements for Antigel, Background, Caterina, Castro, Denada, Eraclea, Fizz, Garize, H&M, Impetus, Korakor, Morellato, Nadia Fassi, Oxette, Pantene, Rosanna Ansolani and Triumph. She’s also appeared on the cover of Stuff magazine in October 2005. In my opinion Brazil seems to be a breeding ground for the world’s most beautiful models. This lady has a bright future ahead of her and I’m sure that we’ll see more of her in the future. She has been named as the Daily Babe on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 16th of September 2009.

She was born in 1970 in the UK. Melanie Sykes first first became known to the public as the bikini-clad girl in the Boddingtons beer advertisements in the mid 1990s in the United Kingdom. In the same decade she also modelled for Berlei lingerie. She presented numerous award shows on UK television, including the BAFTA awards, Miss World and the Q awards. She also did her own radio show on Galaxy FM in the UK. Someone truly worthy of being featured as the Daily Babe on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 15th of September 2009.
