On the 22nd of November 1963 US President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. It’s almost hard to believe that this event occurred 50 years ago. The official story still says that Lee Harvey Oswald was the killer, but many people still don’t believe it. There are numerous conspiracy theories about the Kennedy Assassination – the most popular theory suggests that there were a team of pro-Cuba / CIA shooters responsible for his death, others theories say that it was the mob and other theories suggest that J. Edgar Hoover was behind the whole thing. “Who Shot Kennedy” is probably one of the biggest mysteries of the 20th Century.
The fact that a new president (Lyndon B. Johnson) was sworn in on the same day of his death makes also makes us wonder if this was the plan of the so-called conspirators all along. After Kennedy the US got more involved in South East Asia, and the Vietnam War started in 1964. You may not agree with this conclusion, but if you’ve watched the 1991 Oliver Stone film, JFK, you may just change your mind.
Today’s Daily Cool Photo was taken a few minutes before the Kennedy Assassination on the 22nd of November 2013.
