Pieter de Jager on stage @ Firkin, Centurion
On the 6th of July I made my way to Firkin in Centurion to catch the #JagerDwerg Tweetup party. Klopjag, Naas Veld and Die Tuindwergies were playing on the night. After being exposed to awesome acoustic vibes from Naas Veld (who used to be a member of Ef-El) the Centurion faithful were entertained by Die Tuidwergies.
In case you did not know already, Die Tuindwergies are currently touring to promote their second studio album (which is entitled ‘Terwyl Die Donker Wolke Dans’). They played a ton of a lot of their songs off the new album and a few old favorites like ‘Kopskudkinders’.
I was thoroughly impressed by their performance. And the fact that they attempted a Guinness World Record for the most shots consumed in 1 second by people at a venue might the evening just sweeter.
I snapped this close up shot of Die Tuindwergies lead vocalist Pieter De Jager on the night at Firkin, Centurion and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 15th of July 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring Francois van Coke on stage @ Pretoria Botanical Gardens was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out. Watch this space for daily updates on this blog in the Photography and Babes category.
