Quotes from Maya Angelou

It’s been a while since I touched the Quotations section in the Facts category on Running Wolf’s Rant, so I thought that it was high time to revisit this subject on the blog. Today’s Quotations comes to you from the inspirational, motivational and philosophical legend that is Maya Angelou.

For those of you who did not know, Maya Angelou is an American author and poet. She was born in 1928 in St Louis, Missouri in the USA. She has published six autobiographies, five books of essays, numerous books of poetry, and is credited with a long list of plays, movies, and television shows. She is one of the most decorated writers of her generation. She’s also won dozens of awards and has received over thirty honorary doctoral degrees.

Maya Angelou inspires me to improve my skills as a wordsmith, blogger, writer and person. Nuff said. This lady might be 83 years old, but she’s definitely not an idiot. Here are some quotes from Maya Angelou to inspire you on this Monday (which is probably Blue for a lot of you):
