Rammstein on stage @ Coca-Cola Dome

Yesterday the 2011 Rammstein Tour of South Africa ended with a sold-out show at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg. I had the privilege of being of the Golden Circle ticket holders for the concert. I left Pretoria on the Aandklas Party bus at about 3 PM. We were at Hooters in Fourways (just down the road from the Coca-Cola dome) at about 4 PM. We were at the dome after 6 PM on Friday already. After hanging around outside the Coca-Cola dome I made my way into the arena and looked around for people I know. I bumped into @battica @nightwulfe and a few other people outside and @traaidmark and @MaggotMouth (who were standing about 10m from the Rammstein stage). The concert was awesome. We were standing so close to the stage we nearly got burned by the pyrotechnics (although @traaidmark said that he did get burned). I snapped this photo of Rammstein on stage last night. This photo has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 12th of February 2011.

Having only ever listened to Rammstein last year sometime, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. However, it has to be the most incredible concert I have had the privilege of attending. Their music speaks for itself (German is a very angry language) and how better to express it in this form of music.

    Cannot wait for their return…..
