RIP Brian Griffin
Family Guy has been on the air for more than 10 years. The first episode aired in January 1999. The show was created by Seth Macfarlane (who also does a few of the voices on the show and is also the creator of American Dad and The Cleveland Show). Family Guy centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter and Lois Griffin; their children Meg Griffin, Chris Griffin, and Stewie Griffin and Brian Griffin (their dog).
Well, sadly Brian Griffin isn’t part of the family anymore – this awesome K9 was killed off in the Family Guy episode that aired on television in the USA on Sunday night. He will be dearly missed by many of his fans. He will always be one of my favorite characters on the show.
Brian is being replaced by Vinny the dog (voiced by one of the actors who starred in the Sopranos). Some fans have already started calling for an online petition to get him back on the show and others fans are calling his death a gimmick and saying that he’ll be back eventually. Gimmick or not, this the scene in which Brian Griffin died on Family Guy:
