Samsung Galaxy TV Advert

I recently got my Samsung Galaxy S3 and I must admit that I’m pretty damn satisfied with it (even though it’s been in for repairs for a faulty battery / charging issue since Monday). The speed at which this smartphone operates and its functionality is pretty damn awesome. I am impressed with how much apps you can run at the same time. It’s the quickest smartphone that I’ve ever owned.

I’m also blown away by how smooth it runs apps like Seesmic (for Twitter), Facebook for Android, Instagram and the speed at which you take photos on it. I went for the Samsung Galaxy S3 because the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was just too big for me. I’m fully aware that Note 2 has the capability to run apps on a split screen. I”m also aware that you can take videos and still take photos with the Note 2, but that doesn’t really bother me. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the perfect phone for what I need and want to do.

Samsung Mobile released a TV advert in the USA recently which features a bunch of geeks who are developing a game called “Unicorn Apocalypse” to promote Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. They’re subtly¬†mocking the Blackberry in this advert and their showcasing the functionality of the Samsung Galaxy range of phones, check it out below.

What do you think of this advert for the Samsung Galaxy range of smartphones? Leave a comment and let me know. I’d like to hear from you.

I have read your comment and was surprised to learn I am not the only one with the faulty/battery charging issue. I received my phone in October 2012 and it is still under warranty. My phone has gone in to Vodacom for the second time with the same problem despite having the battery replaced and some tinkering on the motherboard by the samsung repair centre. I have requested a replacement phone, but was told they needed to send it to the repair centre in Johannesburg first to be assessed before a decision can be made. The phone was left in Vodacom’s “care” since Sunday and I am still awaiting feedback as to whether I can get a new phone. Suffice to say I am not going to accept a phone that has been repaired twice with the same problem. Oh and since it came back from its first repair the apps open on its own accord despite when the phone is on standby. Please let me know if you have any success with your phone or any other issues.

    • I’m with MTN, and I’m still waiting for them to report back on the issue. Luckily the phone is under warranty. Will keep you posted.
