Schoolchildren praying for Mandela in India

In case you did not know, Nelson Mandela died yesterday. The whole world has been mourning him. He will be missed because he was one of the champions of Democracy. I’m not going to go too much into it, I already covered this topic earlier today.

Since everyone has been talking about this today, I’ve decided to feature this photo featuring school children holding candles and portraits of former South African President Nelson Mandela during a prayer ceremony at a school in the southern Indian city of Chennai as today’s Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. This photo showcases a piece of the global impact that he’s had on society globally. The photo was taken by Babu and published by Reuters.

Mandela Mourners in Chennay, India

This photo is truly touching. I’m pretty sure that the majority of you will agree with me, but there will also be some people who will be saying that it’s overkill and that the world is making way too much fuss about Mandela’s death. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
