Springbok Nude Girls on stage @ Hatfield Square
On Saturday I made my way to Hatfield Square in Pretoria to catch Springbok Nude Girls, Kinky Robot, Frankie Fire, Dance You’re on Fire and Mrs B in concert. Springbok Nude Girls were the last band to play. It was the first time since Oppikoppi 10 in 2004 that I saw them perform. Seeing them perform was probably one of the musical highlights of 2011 for your’s truly. They are just as loud as they were the first time I saw them perform at Oppikoppi Infestation in 1998. They had the crowd singing along to many of their songs. This made me realize that they will always be one of the definitive bands in SA Music. They spearheaded the SA Music Revolution in 1994 and many SA bands still hold them in high regard. Hat off to a brilliant show Springbok Nude Girls, keep on rocking! I want to take this opportunity to thank Crow Entertainment for the opportunity to photograph them up close. Being on the same stage as the band that got me into SA Music was an absolutely awesome experience. I snapped this photo of Springbok Nude Girls performing on Saturday night and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 12th of July 2011.
Yesterday a photo featuring Isochronous on Stage @ Arcade Empire was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for daily updates in the Daily Babe and Daily Cool Photo sections.
