Taxi Violence on stage @ Arcade Empire
On the 20th of July (last week Friday) I made my way to Arcade Empire’s new venue at 265 The Highway Street in Equestria (in Pretoria East). The third act on stage for the evening were Western Cape rockers Taxi Violence.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Taxi Violence are one of the most underrated South African bands. These okes are a damn hard working rock band. Their live performance at the New Arcade Empire launch is proof of that. It was one of the most intense sets of rock ‘n roll that I’ve experienced in a confined space. They really came to the party (much to the Pretoria faithful’s delight). I’m pretty sure these okes are going to rock many folks’ socks off at Oppikoppi Sweet Thing in August. If they’re not on your list of bands to see at this year’s festival, there must be something wrong with you.
I snapped this photo of Taxi Violence performing on that Friday night at the new Arcade Empire and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 29th of July 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring Planet Joy on stage @ Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens, feel free to check it out. Watch this space for daily updates on this blog in the Photography and Babes category.
