Tendulkar gets highest score in ODI cricket

Sachin Tendulkar (the Indian cricketer) has scored the highest score in One Day International cricket today. He scored 204 runs from 148 balls in a match played between South Africa and India in Gwalior, India. He managed to achieved this record in the final over of the Indian innings. He bettered the previous 194 record jointly held by Saeed Anwar (of Pakistan) and Charles Coventry (of Zimbabwe). It’s the first time that a ODI cricketer has achieved a double century in a match. This is truly remarkable for Tendulkar. The 36 year old cricket started playing international cricket for his country when he was only 16 years old. He has played in more than 70 ODI matches and more than 180 test matches for India. Well done Sachin! (even though you’ve achieved this against the Proteas).
