On the 16th of June I made my way to Centurion Rugby Club (right next to Supersport Park in Centurion) to catch the Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert. During the course of the afternoon my friend and I watched performances by Ekhouvanjou, Ok!, Bittereinder, Die Tuindwergies and The December Streets. The event had a small turnout, but it was definitely a fun-filled affair. The December Streets made their way onto the stage before Die Tuindwergies and got the crowd into a good mood with songs like My Name and a cover of the Mumford & Sons song Little Lion Man. I truly think that the December Streets are definitely one of the bands to watch in 2011. Their live performances have improved greatly since I first saw them perform at the KFC Sessions final in Hatfield Square in 2010. I snapped this photo of them performing at Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 19th of June 2011.
Yesterday a photo featuring Ekhouvanjou,ok! on stage @ Tuks FM “The Youth That Rocks” Concert was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant.
