Last week Sunday I made my way to the Pretoria Botanical Gardens for another edition of Old Mutual Music in the Gardens. This concert series has become an institution in the capital city over the last two years. On this particular occasion Dance You’re on Fire, 7th Son and the Graeme Watkins project performed.
I must admit that I’m not very familiar with the Graeme Watkins Project’s music, but they surprised me on the day. They were the last act to make their way onto the stage at the National Botanical Gardens on the day. These Johannesburg based boys have been making waves in the SA Music scene and getting songs played on SA radio extensively over the last few years. I just have never gotten into their music.
I have to admit that they were a lot more energetic than I expected during their set. It was the first time that I saw them perform and I can safely say that even though they don’t really play the style of music that they’re one of the best acts in their genre. I snapped this photo of the Graeme Watkins Project performing last week Sunday and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 22nd of July 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring 7th Son on stage @ Pretoria Botanical Gardens was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out. Watch this space for daily updates on this blog in the Photography and Babes category.
