Tidal Waves on stage @ Arcade Empire

Last week Friday (the 27th of July 2012) I made my way to the new Arcade Empire venue in Equestria at 265 The Highway Street. Aidan Martin and Tidal Waves were on the list of bands playing that night. It was the 3rd event that was held at the new venue since Gauteng’s premier live music venue’s move from Hans Strijdom Road.

Things have majorly improved at Arcade Empire’s new venue. The lights are all working, the bars are fully functional and it’s way less crowded than it was on that faithful opening night (on the 20th of July). The only thing that’s missing is an open kitchen, but that should be up and running by middle August. I must admit that I’m craving an Oliver Tambourine pizza big time though, so I am hoping it’s sooner.

After watching Aidan Martin amaze the Pretoria faithful with his mad guitar playing skills it was South African music legends Tidal Waves’ turn to amaze the Arcade Empire crowd. Tidal Waves played an energetic set which had the crowd swaying and dancing in no time. It was definitely one of the most memorable live sets that I’ve seen by them.

Don’t forget, Tidal Waves are playing at Oppikoppi Sweet Thing this month, so don’t miss them. If you haven’t seen them live yet, do yourself a favor, you will not be disappointed by one of SA’s best live acts. I snapped this photo of Tidal Waves performing at Arcade Empire on Friday the 27th of July and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 4th of August 2012.

Yesterday a photo featuring Wrestlerish on stage @ Arcade Empire was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out. Watch this space for daily updates on this blog in the Photography and Babes category.
