Tidal Waves on stage @ Where BLUES Meets ROCK
I’m feeling quite tired today. I’ve literally had 12 hours sleep in the last 3 days. I went to bed at 2:30 AM after enjoying the last act for Saturday night at the Where BLUES Meets ROCK Festival (just outside Bronkhorstspruit in Gauteng). Tidal Waves were the last act to perform at the festival. It was the 3rd time that I saw them perform in 2011. They played at Hotbox Studios (at the end of January) and the Hatfield Carnival (2nd weekend in February) in Pretoria. Tidal Waves have received interest and have since been confirmed for a showcase at the legendary SXSW Festival and Music Conference in Austin Texas in the United States in March 2011. The showcase will be supported by a month long tour throughout Austin, Denton, El Paso, Oklahoma, Tulsa, Arizona and New Orleans – with other highlights including The Valley of the Vapours Festival in Hot Springs, Arizona and the Austin Reggae Festival. Let your American friends know about this. They are one kickass live act. I snapped this photo of them on stage at Where BLUES Meets ROCK and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 27th of February 2011.
Yesterday a photo featuring the World’s Biggest TV Screen was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant. Watch this space for updates.
