New Holland on stage @ Tuks FM Motherle$$

On New Year’s Eve I attended the 2010 / 2011 Tuks FM Motherle$$ New Year’s Eve Party at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. Die Antwoord, Oorlog Frankenstein, Pity the Fool, Heazer, Yesterday’s Pupil, Frankie Fire, Van Coke Kartel, Ashtray Electric and New Holland were part of the line-up for this brilliant display of South African music. New Holland are a 4 piece rock band from Cape Town. TeeJay Terblance (on (vocals, rhythm guitar, synth), Gerdus Oosthuizen (on backing vocals, lead guitar, synth), Buckle (on bass) and Odendaal Esterhuyse (on drums) are the members of the band (which was formed in 2007). To date New Holland have released 2 albums (01 in 2008 and Exploded Views (in 2009). They were definately one of the highlights of the evening at Motherle$$. Not even the rain could stop the crowd in front of the stage from getting into their music. I snapped this photo of New Holland performing on the evening. This photo has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 5th of January 2010.
