Richard Brokensha

On Friday night @BaasDeBeer and I made our way to Arcade Empire’s new venue launch at 265 The Highway Street in Equestria (in Pretoria East). The second band that made their way onto the stage at the new venue on the night was Isochronous.

Isochronous played a vibrant set and got the Pretoria faithful going. One could sense that they were welcoming Arcade Empire back into that space that everyone has reserved in themselves for awesome . The vibe was absolutely electric at the venue. Finally Pretoria has a REAL Live music venue with ample space for the ever growing number of fans of local music.

It was a bit of a mission taking photos at the venue on the night, but I managed to pull it off. I snapped this photo of Franco Schoeman and Richard Brokensha jamming out during the Isochronous set on Friday night and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 25th of July 2012.

Last night I watched Isochronous playing live at Oppikoppi 2011 Unknown Brother. The atmosphere was electric. The farm started to fill up after 5 PM on Friday. Isochronous played in front of an almost capacity crowd. More than 10,000 people watched the awesome display of visuals and sound that the Pretoria rockers had to offer. Seeing the crowd in front of the main stage made me realize that I was finally home for the first time in 2011. Personally Oppikoppi has been the one festival that I try not to miss every year. I snapped this photo of Richard Brokensha (the Isochronous lead vocalist) last night and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 6th of August 2011.

In March 2011 I made my way to Riversands Farm in Fourways (just North of Johannesburg) to catch RAMFest 2011. It was an awesome day packed with the best of local music (and some international talent too). BLK JKS, Desmond and the Tutu’s, Isochronous, Bittereinder, Zebra and Giraffe, Dance You’re On Fire, Van Coke Kartel, Not My Dog, Alkaline Trio (from the USA), Funeral for a Friend (from the UK) and a few others were part of the line-up on the day. Isochronous blew the Johannesburg faithful away with their blend of rock tunes. I snapped this close up photo of the lead singer of Isochronous, Richard Brokensha and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 29th of June 2011.
