Van Coke Kartel on stage @ Hatfield Carnival 2012
On the 11th of February this year I made my way to Hatfield Carnival for the Pretoria leg of the Campus Invasion. After watching legendary American act the KONGOS, Bittereinder and Die Heuwels Fantasties play, I made my way back to the Hatfield Square stage to catch Afrikaans rockers Van Coke Kartel. It was the first time that I saw them live in 2012. These Bellville boys rocked the 9,000 strong crowd in Hatfield Square to the max. It was absolutely awesome hearing most of the crowd sing along to the slow song on their Wie’s Bang album, Tot die Son Uitkom. At one stage the band invited some of the Pretoria ladies to dance on the stage while they were playing their version of the 1980s classic Maniac. This too was epic. I snapped this photo of the band and the girls on stage at Hatfield Carnival and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 28th of February 2012.
Yesterday a photo featuring the Crowd at the MK River Stage @ Up The Creek 2012 was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out. This blog is updated daily the Babes and Photography categories, so come back for your little dose of awesomeness tomorrow.
