Ted 300x168 Win 1 of 4 Ted DVDs!

Great news for South Africans is that Ted DVD and Blu-Ray was released on the 3rd of December in South Africa. You can buy a copy via Take A LotLoot or Kalahari.com.

Earlier in 2012 movie audiences were introduced to Ted. The film is a story of a teddy bear who comes to life (a result of a childhood wish) and has been by his friend John’s side ever since. Their friendship is tested when Lori (John’s girlfriend of four years) wants more from their relationship.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary pushing brand of humour to the big screen for the first time as the writer, director and the voice star of Ted. The film also features Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis in the leading roles. It’s great to see a person with a great sense of humor like Seth MacFarlane getting into the movie business. He’s a comedic genius, in my opinion.

Ted was definitely one of the funniest comedies of 2012, just check this short clip below featuring the “Thunder Song” from the movie and you’ll see what I mean. Just a note: this clip contains explicit language.

More Great News! You can enter a competition on Running Wolf’s Rant and win one of four Ted DVDs! All you have to do to enter is comment on this post and let me know what you would teach your talking teddy bear if you had one. The person with the most creative comment will win the prize. The competition closes on Friday the 4th of January 2013!

So get your creative juices flowing! You could walk away with one of four Ted DVDs! Watch this space for regular updates in the Movies and Competitions categories on this blog.

I would teach him childcare and babysitting… can you imagine how excited kids would be if they knew their babysitter was a teddy bear?! Teddy would be booked solid, he’d make a fortune :-) Plus the parents would be relieved knowing that the kids would definitely listen to a teddy bear and the kids would then encourage the parents to go out more. Win Win!

First of all I loved this movie! Even made my son a birthday cake that looked like Ted but we waited till he went to bed before we watched it! If my Teddy came to life, I would learn him how to bite of Jellie Bear’s heads! Haha wouldn’t that be ironic! And sorry to admit this but I will learn him every bad word there is because I was rolling on the floor laughing when we watched Ted. It was just so hilarious to see a Teddy with a potty mouth!

Now if there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s that nothing is more powerful than a young boy’s wish. Except an Apache helicopter. An Apache helicopter has machine guns AND missiles. It is an unbelievably impressive complement of weaponry, an absolute death machine.

Hahaha David, that was hilarious, one of my favorite parts in the film :)
