One thing that I’m quite sure about is that Jozi folk love their beer (almost as much as Pretoria folk like their brandy) and I have great news for beer lovers in Gauteng! The Johannesburg Bierfest is coming to Montecasino this weekend!
Imagine being seated in a Bavarian Brauhaus adorned with authentic décor from the Motherland. Their bevy of feisty frauleins will deliver fistfuls of frothing bier and mouth watering Bavarian food to festival goers and their friends at their own wooden beer bench. It almost makes me want to go “PROST!”.
The tubthumping tuba sounds of a world class Oompah band will blow visitors to the Johannesburg Bierfest’s blues away as they step up to test their strength and skill against an array of traditional Oktoberfest challenges (including an authentic Hau Den Lukas).
Loads of competitions will also be on offer including of course our best dressed King Ludwig and Princess Therese. And fantastic prizes can also be won. In case you did not know, the event will be on from the 11th to the 14 of October at the Outdoor Area at Montecasino.
Great news for readers of Running Wolf’s Rant is that I’m giving a 6 pairs of double tickets for Johannesburg Bierfest! 3 for Friday and 3 for Sunday!

I would jump out of plane, topless singing the German national anthem, after I’ve landed I will walk barefoot from wherever I am to get to Monte hoping that Henno will be waiting with my tickets… =D
