Win tickets to the 2nd edition of Park Acoustics for 2015

2015 is turning out to be an awesome year. I’ve already had my fair share of local music in the first 2 months, but there’s one event that I have not attended in 2015 yet, Park Acoustics. Sadly I missed the first one (which was held on the 25th of January) because I was at Up The Creek.

Now in it’s 5th year, Park Acoustics has become one of the most fun things to do in the capital city. This one day music event (which takes once a month at the Voortrekker Monument) attracts hundreds of fans of good music and has seen tons of talented local and international acts performing on its stages over the years. The February edition of Park Acoustics (which actually takes place on the 1st of March) is coming up soon and it looks like it will be an awesome party.

Park Acoustics - 1 March

The next edition of Park Acoustics will feature performances by  Go Barefoot (an Indie Kwela Folk Rock band from Johannesburg), The Shabeen (a folk punk act from Cape Town), We Are Charlie (an Indie rock band from Pretoria), The Plastics (a Psychedelic Indie Pop act from Cape Town)  and Bellville rock legends, aKING. Besides this, Dis & Dat (Italy), Jullian Gomes, Rolo and Soul Sista will be also be spinning tunes and keeping folks entertained on the Cabin Fever Dance Floor. And that’s not all, after the music stops DJ Michael Lesar will be entertaining people with some epic swinging dancey tunes and Francois van As, Dusty Rich and Jason Goliath will be making people laugh at the Sunset Comedy Stage. Gates open at 10 AM and the first act will be on stage at 11 AM.

Great news is that Running Wolf’s Rant has one double ticket to give away for this edition of Park Acoustics. All you need to do to enter is a working Twitter account. If you have a Twitter account, CLICK HERE to secure your entry into the competition. The competition closes on Friday the 20th of February 2015 at 5 PM.

Tickets for this event are already selling like hotcakes and are available online via the Park Acoustics website for R100. There are only 2000 tickets available and if they don’t sell out before hand, they will be available at the gate for R120. Take note that kids under 6 are allowed for FREE and no 13-17 year olds are allowed at Park Acoustics.

As usual Braaiboy will be on hand to braai your meat and the Hotbox Express will be shuttling music fans up and down the hill to Fort Schanskop between 10 AM and 7:30 PM. For more information, check out the Event’s page on Facebook.
