On the 27th of August 2011 I made my way to Arcade Empire in Pretoria East to catch a Van Coke Kartel and Zebra and Giraffe show. It was one of the best shows that I attended last year. Arcade Empire was packed to maximum capacity. The aircon was acting up more than usual, so it was extremely hot inside the venue. The atmosphere was friggin’ electric though. Van Coke Kartel tore the Pretoria faithful a new one that night. I snapped this photo of Wynand Muburgh (the Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel bassist) and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 31st of May 2012.
