On the 10th of December 2011 I made my way to Arcade Empire in Pretoria to catch performances by Pretoria Pop Rock sensation Isochronous and Yoav (who has been making massive waves in the music industry in recent times and opened for Tori Amos earlier last year). I was patiently waiting for Isochronous to finish their excellent set. I was looking forward to seeing Yoav the first time. It was the first time that Yoav was going to play in Pretoria. Yoav blew the Pretoria faithful (and your’s truly) away with his brilliant and chilled out approach to awesome acoustic music. It was the first time in a long time that I had the privilege to experience such a talented musician’s performance. Two words come to mind (and excuse the language): “Fucking Brilliant”. I snapped this photo of Yoav performing at Arcade Empire and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 5th of January 2012.
