Today Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland. The city is located at the North Western tip of Lake Zurich. The area where Zurich is today has been permanently settled for around 7,000 years. The Romans founded a settlement here in 15 BC and called it “Turicum”. Zurich is one of the world’s leading financial cities and is home to a large number of financial institutions and banking giants. The city has an estimated population of 365,000.
