5 Movies that you should not miss in 2018

If you think that 2017 was a great year for movies, you obviously don’t know what you’re in for next year. Today I’m featuring 5 Movies that you should not miss in 2018.

Maze Runner – The Death Cure: This film will be the third and final instalment in the Maze Runner saga and will be released in late January 2018. Thomas will lead his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of them all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.

If you’re a Science Fiction fan then this one might be for you, but make sure that you watch the first 2 films first, otherwise you’ll be in the dark. I’m looking forward to see how this saga will end. Check out the trailer below:

Avengers: Infinity War: This is probably the 2018 movie that I’m the most excited about. And who wouldn’t be? Almost every single character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be in the film. Avengers: Infinity War will be released in May 2018. This film will see the Avengers and the Guardians of Galaxy battling Thanos (the huge purple bad guy you saw in Thor for the first time). If you haven’t see the trailer for this film, you should check it out here.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom: This is the sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World and will be the fifth film in the Jurassic Park saga. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will re-unite the cast from the 2015 film and will also feature Jeff Goldblum (who starred in the first two films in the saga). I’ve already written an article about this, so make sure that you read it here. Let’s hope this film lives up to expectations.

Deadpool 2: This film will be the 12th instalment in the X-Men film saga and will be the sequel to 2015’s Deadpool (the highest grossing R-Rated film in the history of cinema). Deadpool 2 will be released in May 2018.

Needless to say, the film’s plot is a mystery. This is how 20th Century Fox describes it on IMBD: “After surviving a near fatal knee boarding accident, Wade Wilson struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Poughkeepsie’s most celebrated French Bulldog breeder while also learning to cope with an open relationship. Searching to regain his passion for life, as well as a new stuffed unicorn, Wade must battle ninjas, tight assed metal men, and babysit a group stereotypical side characters as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and creative outlets for his very open-minded sex life. He manages to find a new lust for being a do-gooder, a sparkly Hello Kitty backpack, all while earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best 4th Wall Breaking Superhero.”

See what I mean? It does sound like it’s going to be business as usual for Wade Wilson. Not much is revealed in the “Wet On Wet” trailer below, so I’m really curious to see how it pans out.

Annihilation: This horror fantasy film (based on the book of the same name by Jeff Van Der Meer) will be released in February 2018. A group of soldiers enters an environmental disaster zone and only one comes back out alive, though he is grievously injured. In an attempt to save his life, his wife Lena, a biologist, volunteers for a second expedition into the zone to figure out what happened to him.

Annihilation will feature performances by Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac. Judging by the trailer below, the film will feature some great visual effects. The film is written and directed by Alex Garland (the same guy that brought us Ex Machina in 2015). I really hope that this film lives up to hype is being generated around its release.

Well, there you have it, 5 Movies that you should not miss in 2018. Which one of these are you looking forward to the most and which ones did I miss in my list? Leave a comment below and let me know. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here.
