    Amstel Lager “The Chef” Advert

Amstel Lager are back with a great advert. “The Chef” is the story of a young man who takes up a job as a dishwasher so he can learn from the chefs around him and over time, he gains the experience he needs to realize his dream of becoming a chef and opening his own restaurant. By taking his time he not only achieves success but enjoys himself every step of the way – just like Amstel Lager. I find this advert to be a brilliant and inspirational one because it reminds me of myself:

I remember a day back in 2008 when a certain online lady friend (whom I still haven’t met to this day) gave me the idea to start my own blog. I decided to give it bash, even though I didn’t know ANYTHING about blogging at all. 5 years on, hours spent reading hundreds of articles about blogging, a countless amount of hours spent pulling out some of the hair I have left, thousands of Tweets and Facebook updates and hundreds of thousands of pageviews later and I’ve developed a fan base and have loyal followers for Running Wolf’s Rant.

    Amstel Lager

The best thing of it all is that still loving every single step of this journey. Maybe I’ll realize my dream of having my own production / media / social media company one day – things like this take time though. Adverts like this Amstel Lager advert reminds me of that. It’s no wonder that this advert has had over 200,000 views on YouTube and has become the most viewed South African beer advert.

Check out the Amstel Lager advert featuring “The Chef” below:

You’re feeling more ambitious now, aren’t you? Leave a comment on this article and let me know you think. If you feel like going out into the world and taking the bull by the horns after viewing this advert, feel free to share this article with your friends on Facebook and Twitter. I’m pretty sure that some of them will appreciate a boost like this.
