Ard Matthews (the lead vocalist of legendary South African rock band Just Jinjer) is part of Blood Brothers 2018. This year’s edition is happening in Cape Town on 22 September and Centurion on 29 September.

I recently had a chat to Ard Matthews via e-mail about Blood Brothers 2018 and a few other things. This is what he had to say:

It’s the first time that you’re going to be part of Blood Brothers 2018. How do you feel about it?

I am very excited to be involved with such an incredible collective. It’s a great honour to be invited.

    Ard Matthews

When you think of Blood Brothers, what comes to mind?

    A powerful force of goodwill.

What have been up to lately?

Just wrapping up first live offerings of my new album ‘Impossible Machines.’ This tour spanned from London through the South African East Coast.

What are your thoughts on the current state of SA Music?

The quality and quantity is rising in an ever diminishing market.

What can we expect from you at Blood Brothers 2018?

My full commitment for such an amazing cause.

Why have you decided to join BB and the fight against cancer – what does the cause mean to you?

I was invited and It’s always good to give back.

I’d like to thank Ard Matthews for this interview and I wish him all of the best with Blood Brothers 2018 and his future musical endeavors.

If you don’t have tickets for the shows at Zip Zap Circus (in Cape Town) or at Platteland (in Centurion), make sure that you get yours on South Africa definitely has no shortage of musical talent.
