Atreyu has confirmed two South African shows in 2019! The Kraken is Alive is ecstatic to announce that these US Metalcore Pioneers will be part of the line-up for Pirate Fest 2019 on 7 September 2019 at Marks Park.
The band are also playing a show in Cape Town. Yes folks! Captain Renegade, his first mate Clico J, Danger Dave and the whole Kraken Hunter Krew will be setting sail to the Cape of Storms.
They’re going to rock the socks off at Mercury Live on the 5th of September 2019. Atreyu will be supported by Zombies Ate My Girlfriend, Treehouse Burning and Set For The Sky.

The band hails from Huntington Beach in California. Atreyu formed in 1998. They are pioneers of the Metalcore Genre and have seven colossal studio albums under their belts. Their debut album “Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses” (2002) and sophomore release “The Curse” (2004) stand as monuments of Metalcore.
The current members of Atreyu are: Alex Varkatzas (Lead Vocals)
Dan Jacobs (Lead & Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals), Brandon Saller (Drums & Co-Lead Vocals), Travis Miguel (Rhythm & Lead Guitar) and Marc “Porter” McKnight (Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals).
Like a fine wine, Atreyu is only getting better with age! Their latest offering “In Our Wake” reaffirms their remarkable legacy and expands it like never before!
