Great Scott! Bohemian Rhapsody (the Queen Biopic) will be released in November 2018! I am one of those laaities that gets excited about Star Wars and Avengers movies, but I’m actually feeling a lot more excited to watch this film (which is going to be amazing if you ask me).
The film was originally directed by Bryan Singer (who has directed a whole bunch of X-Men movies), but he was fired in September 2018 and replaced with Dexter Fletcher (who directed 2016’s Eddie The Eagle).
The film will feature performances by Rami Malek (who you might recognize from the Mr Robot TV series and who is playing the role of Freddie Mercury), Joseph Mazzello (who is playing the role of John Deacon), Aidan Gillen, Ben Hardy (who is playing the role of Roger Taylor), Lucy Boynton, Tom Hollander, Allen Leech, Gwilym Lee (who is playing the role of Brian May), Mike Myers (who gained fame in 1990s with his role as Austin Powers) and Aaron McCusker.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a chronicle of the years leading up to Queen‘s legendary appearance at the Live Aid concert in 1985. Judging by the trailer below it looks like Queen fans around the world are going to be blown away. If you don’t believe me, check it out below:
Like many kids in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, I grew up listening to Queen on repeat. I guess that you could say that it was a definitely one of the soundtracks of my childhood. Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to watch this film when it’s finally released on the 2nd of November this year.
Are you excited about watching this film or are you giving it a miss? Leave a comment and let me know. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here.
