Great news rock fans! This September, 10 of South Africa’s local rock legends will once again unite as Blood Brothers in the battle against cancer, in support of the Vrede Foundation.
The Vrede Foundation’s aim is to generate awareness amongst young South Africans (aged 15-29) regarding cancer and at the same time raise funds to provide financial aid to young South Africans with cancer.
The 3rd annual edition of Blood Brothers (South Africa’s first rock supergroup) will feature 6 brand new members to take up arms against their biggest struggle yet. In their quest for victory, they will be performing your favourite hits, as well as songs by their own heroes. The choices are bold, the talent undeniable and like the previous 2 editions of this concert, the result will be unforgettable.
Experience the rare opportunity to witness 10 of our best local rock stars together on one stage for one night only! For the first time, they will be defending their rightful rock legacy at a brand new battlefield known for reinventing the live music scene in Johannesburg: The Good Luck Bar.
Fighting for liberty, this year’s line-up includes veteran fighters Francois van Coke (Fokofpolisiekar, Van Coke Kartel), Albert Frost, Kobus De Kock Jnr (The Black Cat Bones) and Jason Hinch (The Black Cat Bones, Boargazm, Art Snakes, Jonathan Peyper Trio). Joining the revelry this year are newcomers Garth Barnes (Tweak, Crash Car Burn), Hanu De Jong (The Narrow, Not My Dog), Chris Van Der Walt (The Black Cat Bones, Boargazm), Jaco Mans (Tidal Waves, The Ultranatives, SADC), Jason Oosthuizen (Van Coke Kartel, The Black Cat Bones, Lost&Found), Loandi Boersma (Cortina Whiplash) and fans can also look forward to a few special guest surprise performances!
