Captain America: Civil War trailer released

Great news movie fans! Last night the trailer for Captain America: Civil War was released. This upcoming film is the sequel to 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will be the thirteenth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and the screenplay was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. In the film, Captain America and the Avengers continue to protect the world, but the team becomes divided after extensive collateral damage prompts politicians to pass an act regulating superhuman activity.

The film will feature performances by Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey, Jr. (Tony Stark / Ironman), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd (Ant Man), Frank Grillo, Daniel Brühl and William Hurt.

It’s interesting to note that this will be the first time that audiences get a glimpse of Black Panther in a Live-Action film. A Black Panther film is scheduled for release in 2017 / 2018. Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2016, in 3D and IMAX 3D in the USA. No South African release dates have been announced yet, but it’s most likely going to be released here close to that time.

This looks pretty damn awesome. I’m really looking forward to watch this film next year. Let’s hope Marvel can keep up the good work. It’s actually scary how many Marvel movies are coming out in the next three years, let’s hope they don’t fudge some of them up.
