My experience of Disney+
I installed the Android app just after midnight on the 18th of May 2022. Singing up was pretty easy. I got the OTP (One Time Pin) a few seconds after signing up and before I could say “Mickey Mouse”, I was streaming the first episode of Moon Knight on my LG Velvet 5G phone. The mobile interface is pretty user friendly and linking it with my Google Chromecast (3rd Generation) was not difficult either.
During the course of the day I logged into my account on 2 different web browsers and I did not experience any major issues. The service runs pretty smooth on both of these platforms. The streaming quality is top notch. I also tried installing the Windows 11 app on my PC, but I found that this is not available to South Africans yet. I’m pretty sure that this will change in the future though.
The only thing that frustrates me is the fact that you have to sign into your web browser and get asked for an OTP. There’s no option to sign in via email yet. Hopefully this feature will also be made available in the near future.
If you have not signed up for Disney+ yet, you can do so HERE.
