Distilled: Featuring SA Rock legends Wonderboom

In case you did not know, Distilled is a new and exciting weekly YouTube music series of live mini concerts filmed in Pretoria. Each week a South African band / artist who performs three songs of their choice in one live take is featured.

The first episode of Distilled was published earlier in the week. The episode features SA Rock legends Wonderboom. The production of Distilled is made possible by Mystic Boer Brandy, Marshall Music, Canon South Africa and Craft Exchange.

    Wonderboom need no introduction…

Wonderboom have been around since the 1990’s. The band released their 9th studio album (Rising Sun) in 2017. They are best known for their songs “Charlie”, “Never Ever”, “Best Side”, “On The Radio”, “Ooh La La”, “Karaoke Bar” and their cover versions of “Africa” and “Shadows”.

I have been a huge fan of Wonderboom for years. Distilled definitely captures the essence of the band that I’ve grown to love to bits over the years. I’m definitely looking forward to the future episodes.Check out the video below if you don’t believe me…

Wonderboom recently stunned audiences at Oppikoppi Nomakanjani. The band opened for Crash Test Dummies earlier this year. They’re also the opening act at the once-off Guns N’ Roses concert in Johannesburg at FNB Stadium in November. If you haven’t seen them live yet, make sure that you check them out in a town or city near you. You won’t be disappointed.

Do you like what you see? Keep your eyes peeled on YouTube in the coming weeks for episodes of Distilled. I’m pretty sure that we’re not going to be disappointed in any way. A little bird told me that some awesome artists are going to be featured in this series. For more info, check out their Facebook page.
