Dream Factory is a newly founded television show which showcases incredible talent across nine provinces in South Africa. Founded by 33 and Me Talent Agency Head and the Producer of the International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS), Elsubie Verlinden, Dream Factory creates a platform for youngsters to showcase their talent in all four principles of acting, singing, modelling and dancing.
On her journey across the country to scout new talent, Elsubie found exactly what she was looking for – a country abundant in talent in all ages, shapes and sizes. Her aim is not only to make sure that these talented youngsters receive recognition, but to also offer them opportunities in arts education.

Workshops and training is provided by local and international industry professionals. Together with the International Arts Talent Showcase, Dream Factory will showcase a substantial amount of insight into the arts industry.

In this season, talent is identified and developed through the IATS with the aim of performing on a world stage at the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA), the largest talent convention in New York City.

The television show is just a starting point for SA’s aspiring artists. It showcases the stories of hopeless dreamers that become victorious do’ers.
Elsubie herself was once one of these warriors. The young starling moved to Johannesburg in her youth to build her own career in the arts. What she found was a lack of mentors and educational opportunities in the industry to help catapult her career.
Regardless, she clawed her way to the top. Elsubie went on to star in Leon Schuster’s Mr. Bones 2, as well as numerous national television series including Binnelanders, Egoli and Scandal to name a few. With a long list of accolades to her name, the talent developer is now equipped with 25 years of industry experience and knowledge, and wants to share that knowledge.
A mother of three and Chairperson and CEO of four organisations, as well as being a local TV presenter, there is no stopping this force of nature. Elsubie feels it her calling to give youngsters the opportunities she never had. Her main focus now is on developing new talent. She continues to bring hope, motivation and empowerment to artists all over country.
Dream Factory will also feature international singer-songwriter, producer and casting director, Nate Butler. The Atlanta based artist visited South Africa earlier this year to present a number of entertainment related educational workshops to the youth. He also formed part of the local judging panel in three provinces and will feature in three episodes of Dream Factory.
The show will debut on Youth Day, 16 June on DStv Channel 251 and Starsat Channel 488 from 5PM.
