Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released less than 60 days from now and excitement is mounting for one of the most anticipated movie releases of the year / decade. The film will be released worldwide on the 18th of December 2015, but will actually be opening two days earlier in South Africa (on the 16th of December 2015).
Ster-Kinekor opened up bookings for the film in the South Africa yesterday and tons of geeks, nerds, freaks and normal people have started to reserve their seats to experience what promises to be one hell of a cinematic experience. Read more about that here.
The first trailer for The Force Awakens was released in November last year, the second trailer was released on the 16th of April and the film’s poster was unveiled yesterday. Check out the poster below.
I don’t see Jar Jar on this poster, but Movie poster designer extraordinaire Olly Gibbs designed this poster to honor him. I think it’s ridiculously funny.
Great news is that the film’s third and final trailer was released this morning and it’s totally awesome. It’s already reached more than 12 million views… Check it out below:
I’m extremely excited and pretty curious to find out how exactly the plot will play out for this film and it’s two sequels. It doesn’t look like the story line is going to be boring. I’m also pretty sure that we can expect better acting than we experienced in the prequels.
I think this @50NerdsOfGrey tweet explains the level of my excitement the best.
'Mmmm that's so good!!' he cried, but it was all over in 3 minutes. She sighed, that was the tenth time he'd watched the Star Wars trailer.

Just a reminder that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is co-written and directed by J.J. Abrams (the same guy who has brought us the last two Star Trek movies, Alias and Lost), so expect lens flares (an Abrams trademark). Let’s hope he doesn’t overdo it though.
What do you think of the third and final trailer? Leave a comment and let me know. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here.
