Van Coke Kartel were the second band to perform on the day. They played an absolutely energetic set, much to the delight of the Pretoria faithful who made their way to the venue.
They played some old favorites and some of the songs they’ve never played before (off the “Wie’s Bang” album). It was a stunning day in the capital city, one that I won’t soon forget.
I snapped this photo of Van Coke Kartel frontman Francois van Coke on the day and it has been selected as the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant for the 14th of July 2012.
Don’t forget that you can catch Van Coke Kartel (along with Isochronous, Taxi Violence and Wrestlerish) next week Friday (the 20th of July 2012) at Arcade Empire’s New Venue launch in Pretoria. The new venue is located at 265 Highway Street (close to The Grove Mall). There is no cover charge for the show so you don’t have an excuse to get your butt down there to support South African music. It’s going to be massive (if you ask me).
Yesterday a Taj Mahal Photo by Colin Roohan was the Daily Cool Photo on Running Wolf’s Rant, feel free to check it out. Watch this space for daily updates on this blog in the Photography and Babes category.
