In case you forgot, Krank’d Up Festival is happening at Sundowners in Alberton on the 30th of September 2017. Unfortunately Animals As Leaders have cancelled their appearance but that doesn’t mean that hard rock / metal / rock / metalcore fans are going to have a crappy time…
Ferocious, technical brilliance and graceful landscapes are set to collide at the 2017 edition of the festival when Canadian guitar hero, Aaron Marshall and his incredible band, Intervals will set foot on the stage on 30th September. The band’s second full length album, “The Shape of Colour” found its way on almost every “Best albums of the year‟ list in 2015 and catapulted Intervals into the stratosphere as one of the world’s most exciting instrumental metal bands around today.
Aaron Marshall and his supremely talented band have experience in buckets, having toured with the likes of Between The Buried and Me, Misery Signals, Protest The Hero, TesseracT, Animals As Leaders, Periphery and The Contortionist to name a few. It’s fair to say that Krank’d Up fans can expect something special come September.
Besides this, heavy swagger is also heading to Krank’d Up because Memphis May Fire will be headlining this year’s festival. Having rendered audiences speechless at festival appearances worldwide, Memphis May Fire will be firing on all cylinders when they bring their much-requested live show to South African fans for the first time. They are armed with five crucial albums under their belts and this highly influential American band is going to blow metalcore fans away in September.
There will also be plenty of local acts at Krank’d Up Festival 2017, so make sure that you don’t miss out on this! Here’s the full line-up:
Memphis May Fire (USA), Intervals (Canada), Red Helen, Megalodon, Albinobeach, State Society, CMR, Ohgod, My Columbine, Mezzanine Floor, Deadline, Vulvodynia, Held On Till May, After Robot, Maximum Carnage, You, Me and the Harmony, Savage Lucy, BloodBeast, De Wallen, Coldfield, Mad God.
