There’s less than 4 months to go before the Star Wars movie about rebels setting out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star is released in cinemas worldwide.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released on the 16th December 2016 and promises to be one of the biggest films of the year. The film will feature performances by Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker and is directed by Gareth Edwards (who also directed 2014’s Godzilla).
A few days ago, the full trailer for the film was released and I must admit, it looks bloody awesome. Check it out below:
This is the tenth live action “Star Wars” movie (if excluding the Holiday Special), and not forgetting two Ewok TV movies. This was the fourth live action film to include AT-AT walkers, with the first being Episode V during the assault on Hoth, the second in Episode VI on Endor, and the third in Episode VII being an immobilized unit on Jakku.
This is the first Star Wars film ever made without involving C-3PO, played by Anthony Daniels. Daniels has been the only actor to ever voice C-3PO and has also voiced the character in the Star Wars spinoff TV shows, video games and other creations not affiliated with Star Wars.
The little geek inside of me is freaking out and is absolutely excited about this film. Let’s hope that this lives up to expectations.
