2014 has come and gone and the lucky ones have all returned home with some ill-advised but cool suntans. It’s time to get back in the groove for 2015. This Friday (the 16th of January) you have a chance to do just that at Schivas Rock (on the corner of Rodericks and the Hillside road in Lynnwood, Pretoria).
It will cost you only R40 to get into Balls Deep! (a music showcase featuring no less than four of the coolest live acts that Gauteng has to offer).
The Balls Deep! line-up consists of Backlit City (a Pretoria-based Southern Punk Rock band), The TCs and Cs (a Johannesburg-based Indie Rock ‘n Roll band), The Olympic (a Heavy Pop Punk band from Pretoria) and 2013 MK Award winners The Black Cat Bones (who will most probably be ripping the crowd a new one with their blend of hard, heavy, dirty and bluesy Rock ‘n Roll).
This is definitely not a boring way to kick-off your 2015 band-watching season. Pull in on Friday night, crack open a cold one and get ready to rock. I don’t know about you guys and girls, but that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
