Great news! This morning American Alt-Rock band Incubus announced that they will be touring South Africa in February 2018!
The California-based rockers released their eight studio album this year (which is purposely entitled “8”) and they are also celebrating the 20th anniversary of their first major label album “S.C.I.E.N.C.E” with a world tour.
They will be playing in Pretoria on the 24th of February 2018 at the Voortrekker Monument (on my birthday nogal) and in Cape Town on the 28th of February 2018 at the Grand Arena at Grand West Casino.
They will be supported by South Africa’s biggest rock legacy acts. Pretoria fans can look forward to a full day of head-banging, rocking tunes from 12 PM to midnight. Fans will be taken on a musical journey of their vast career, spanning over 20 years of hits and crowd favourites. Tickets will be available from Monday the 13th of November 2017 @ 9 AM at this link.
I started listening to Incubus in the early 2000’s and I have to admit that my excitement levels for this approach out-of-my-skin levels. I can’t wait to sing along to many of my favourite Incubus songs like “Pardon Me”, “Love Hurts”, “Wish You Were Here”, “A Certain Shade of Green” and tons of others that have grown on me over the years.
I’ve been watching a lot of their live videos on YouTube, but this one (from their live performance at Red Rocks in Colorado has to be my favourite).
