Great news! This morning Big Concerts confirmed that Judas Priest will be coming to South Africa for the very first time in March 2019. This tour is brought to you by Big Concerts, Jacaranda FM, Bok Radio and Channel 24.
Judas Priest have been around since 1969. They were one of the first metal bands to exclusively wear leather and studs. That look began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world. To date they’ve sold more than 50 million records worldwide.
Judas Priest went on to change the face of heavy metal. They won the 2010 Grammy Award for ‘Best Metal Performance and they were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Over the years they’ve released no less than 17 studio albums.
Their current album ‘Firepower’ (which was released in March 2018) has become the highest charting album of their career. They are selling out shows around the world on their Firepower Tour. This has cemented the presence and influence of Judas Priest at an all-time high!
The current members of Judas Priest are Ian Hill, Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Scott Travis and Richie Faulkner.
Judas Priest 2019 South African Tour Details:
The band will be performing in Cape Town on the 20th of March at the Grand Arena at Grand West Casino and on the 22nd of March 2019 at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg. Judas Priest tickets go on sale on Friday, the 28th of September at 9 AM.
