For those of you who did not know, Leon Schuster is a South African filmmaker, comedian, actor, presenter and singer. He’s the king of pranks. He’s made 13 films since 1986. It’s time for a bit of nostalgia on Running Wolf’s Rant today.
This clip is taken from his 1989 film Oh Shucks It’s Schuster. Leon Schuster and South African actor Mike van der Bergh visited the Traffic Police training facility in Pretoria and posed as instructors for rookie traffic officers (commonly referred to as “spietkops” in South Africa). This is definately one of the funniest Schuster pranks ever (in my opinion). I can’t believe these potential traffic officers fell for this. I really wish Leon Schuster would start pranking South Africans like this again. He’s really good at it. He started doing this in the days when television was not really prominent in South Africa (on Springbok radio). Some of his best pranks were executed on this medium back in the day.
