Yes folks, Nando’s are back with a brand new advert! They’re definitely one of my favourite brands when it comes to advertising in South Africa. Their Last Dictator Standing advert from 2011 (which was subsequently banned on TV in South Africa) was particularly interesting and one of the funniest adverts of the year if you ask me.
Do you miss things? Overlook things that are right front of you? No? Yes? Maybe? It’s part of the human condition – at least that’s what some Sir or another keeps banging on about. Luckily, Nando’s new ad campaign is here to show you that the deliciousness is in the details. That, yes, Nando’s is about the best flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken but that its menu has oh so many more mouthwatering options to choose from. True to Nando’s cheeky sense of humour, this brand new advert plays off the well-known Santam TV advert featuring Sir Ben Kingsley.

I have a huge urge to get myself some Nando’s now, for some or other reason. See? Nando’s marketing is working (at least on me anyways). What do you think of this advert? Drop me a comment and let me know what you think. Feedback is appreciated and welcome on Running Wolf’s Rant.
