South Korean Rapper / Pop star Psy is at again. He released a music video for his song “Gentleman” over the weekend and it has already reached over 67 million views on YouTube. The video has already made internet history – it broke ALL the YouTube records for the number of views in 24 hours.
Psy made waves globally last year with his song “Gangnam Style” (which was on 1.5 billion views on YouTube the last time I checked). Psy timed the release of “Gentleman” perfectly – he must have known that it was about time folks were exposed to something different than the “Harlem Shake”.
The “Gentleman” video features the same doll-like K-Pop girls who were in the “Gangnam Style” video, the same comedians and the same comedy dance routines.
Let me make this clear. I don’t like “Gangnam Style” or “Gentleman”. Most you who regularly read this blog know that I’m a rock ‘n roll fan to the core, but you can’t help but admire Psy for achieving epic levels of Internet fame. And thank all that’s good in the world that his songs don’t sound like Justin Bieber or Nicky Minaj songs that make you want to throw your radio or cell phone against the wall.
Psy’s music is bearable (to say the least). All this is merely my opinion, so check out the new Psy music video below and form your own.
What do you think of the new Psy video? Leave a comment and let me know. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here. Feel free to spread the word about this annoying song with your friends on Facebook and Twitter. Remember: Sharing is caring.
