Noah and the Whale – L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N (Music Video)

Once again Tuks FM has introduced me to an awesome tune. I first heard this song on the Bang Bang Breakfast show (which is run by Rob Forbes, PJ Van Rooyen and Carmen Du Plessis in the mornings from 6-9 AM). L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N is off the 3rd Noah and the Whale studio album which is entitled Last Night on Earth (which was released in March 2011). This song was released in January 2011 though. L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N peaked at number 14 on the UK singles chart. This Indie folk / Indie rock / Pop Rock / Bluegrass band was formed in 2006 in Twickenham, London in the United Kingdom.

The current members of the band are Charlie Fink, Tom Hobden, Matt “Urby Whale” Owens, Fred Abbott and Michael Petulla. Their first album entitled Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down was released in 2008 and their second album entitled The First Days of Spring was released in 2009. Noah and the Whale have played at the Leeds festival, the Cambridge Folk Festival, Latitude, SXSW, the V Festival and Glastonbury. Their songs have been featured on television shows like Skins, Cougar Town and One Tree Hill. I’m absolutely in love with L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S. It such a laid back tune and I bet that it could get almost anyone into a laid back mood. Judging by the awesomeness that is Noah and the Whale and Mumford and Sons it seems that English folk music is alive and well.

This is the music video for L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N:
