RAMFest 2020: The Black Dahlia Murder & full line-up announced

RAMFest 2020 is happening in Pretoria and Cape Town in March next year! Today the organizers announced that Death Metal Giants The Black Dahlia Murder would be the international headliners. A list of great South African bands & DJs make up the rest of the line-ups for both festivals.

RAMFest 2020 will be held in Cape Town at Hillcrest Quarry on the 13th of March and in Pretoria at the Voortrekker Monument on the 14th of March.

Great news is that South African rock legends Van Coke Kartel will be playing reunion shows at both of the events.

“Van Coke Kartel hasn’t played a full set since 2017 on our final tour. RAMfest is resurrecting the Kartel for their Cape Town and Pretoria events. It is also a massive privilege to co-headline with death metal kings Black Dahlia Murder. Very amped to play at RAM! Can’t wait!” Comments Francois Van Coke on the shows.

Main Stage: The Black Dahlia Murder, Van Coke Kartel, Facing the Gallows, Peasant, Stoker, The Valley, Marene, Metallica Tribute Band.

The Metal4Africa stage line-up will be confirmed in January 2020.

More info about The Black Dahlia Murder

The Black Dahlia Murder hail from Michigan in the USA and have been around since 2001. The band’s members are Trevor Strnad, Brian Eschbach, Max Lavelle, Alan Cassidy and Brandon Ellis. To date the band have released 8 studio albums. Their 2011 album, Ritual peaked at number 31 on the Billboard 200 in the USA. Their name is derived from the 1947 unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short, often referred to as Black Dahlia.
